While driving down a straight road going approximately 20 mph my truck pulled me hard to the left and I was unable to control it. The assembly for my front left wheel completely came apart, and my truck was stranded in the middle of the road, without me being able to move it forward or backwards. The dealer stated that the ball joints to the upper and lower control arms both popped out at the same time. The dealer stated that they were unsure why this happened, and that there was no damage or wear to the ball joints. Upon doing my own research, I was able to find an online thread with many other consumers who had the same exact problem as me. Many people stated that it is an issue with the stock upper and lower control arms, and that because of how the truck sits, it puts the ball joints at their limits Increasing the chances of them popping out. Now, my truck is sitting at the dealership with no estimated time of repair due to them being unable to get any parts. My fear is that my safety would have been impacted if this happened at a higher rate of speed on a busier road, such as a highway. There were no warnings or indications that anything was wrong with my truck, and it was driving completely normal up until the incident. I also fear of this happening again since they are replacing the damage parts with stock parts, as well as me being unsure, if this will happen to the other side of my vehicle as well.

Our 2022 Ram 1500 Diesel truck stranded us from approx. 9pm-1am while traveling hours home on a remote MS state hwy intersection and shut our engine down, locked all 4 wheels & disabled our ability to put the vehicle in neutral to push from the roadway. We were left stranded in a main lane of a busy intersection at 10 pm at night. The local PD showed up and had to block traffic and our truck had to be 'pulled' onto/off of a flatbed tow truck (wheels would not turn) and hauled to the local dealer. We had nowhere to go as the local dealer was closed & no rental agencies were open so we had to sit outside in the parking lot of the dealership until midnight for a friend to arrive from our hometown to come pick us up. We are being told that our high pressure fuel pump failed and our truck is part of a recall (that still shows online as 'remedy not yet available'?) & that it may take up to a month to get it back due to parts delays/repair time. No warning lamps or message appeared on the dash prior to this occurring and we received no letter telling us to 'seek service asap'...the letter we recall receiving said the same as what appears online"? Our hometown dealer said they could not offer us a loaner since the vehicle was not in their shop, yet Ram will not tow it to them, and the dealer we left it at 2 hrs away has no loaner vehicles available so we have now had to pay nearly $300 OOP for the tow and call the corp. office to file 'cases' to REQUEST RETROACTIVE reimbursement of the tow expense & a whopping $40/day from Ram towards a rental vehicle! We have now paid nearly $1k OOP in 5 days for towing and rental expenses which only get us to 8/13 and the ETA for repair is not til 8/27 at best. This is clearly in no way a 'timely repair' of a safety recall!" We have called all 3 customer care numbers for Ram to no avail. We need their financial assistance UP FRONT to pay for these expenses while we await the repair of our fully warrantied vehicle!

The vehicle-€™s wheel, brake, suspension, and electrical systems have all failed since June 2022. The wheel and suspension systems have been attempted to be repaired multiple times by two different Chrysler Dodge dealerships. To no avail, no resolve. In fact while I was driving the highway after picking up the vehicle this last time, the tailgate opened and triggered the backup camera emergency brakes. We stopped instantly in the middle of the highway. We didn-€™t hear or know about a recall until three weeks later when we got a letter in the mail. The dealer we purchased the vehicle from did not reach out. All of the problems associated with the truck have been acknowledged by the dealer, second opinion dealership, and Chrysler. The vehicle is a lemon.
