Prior to epa emissions recall I would achieve diesel fuel efficiencies as high as 21 mpg highway, pulling a 18 foot trailer at a 1 hour duration. The city mpg averaged to 13-15 mpg, since the emissions recall update made on this vehicle, mpg has averaged between 10-13 mpg on highway with no load/no trailer and averages between 9-11 mpg in city. These benchmarks have been consistently compared and road conditions have been same. To add to this issue, there has been a loss of power that has caused unexpected hesitation in a number of instances. Several times I was put in harms way as crossing city divided highway, crossing streets and/or dividing highways where that multi-directional traffic lights are not always present. To further explain, realizing the power pickup was not present and turbo did not seem to be 'spun up' even though acceleration was increased dramatically. Note, to help to possibly remediate these potential accident occurrences, I must power brake and increase engine RPM's to help bring the vehicle to a power level to reduce the risk of power latency. This sometimes helps but not always because power impotency seems to be unpredictable at times.

When accelarating, from a stop especially, the throttle intermitantly will give an almost dead response. It can be pressed all of the way down to wide open and it slowely developes power and does not reach full power untill after the 1, 2 shift. It is dangerous and is going to cause an accident. No mil light nor troible codes are present.

I was given notice of recall on December 9th 2014.received another notice this month on the fuel heater. I have been to the dealer several times and they do not have the part.it has been over 6 months since the first recall notice then they send another one and still do not have the parts.what good is a recall of a dangerous situation with the vehicle and the manufacture does not supply the parts! I have also had a problem and made a report before about the truck not stopping or slowing down.the electronic throttle sticks and this is very dangerous.

In December Chrysler mailed an "important safety recall" P65/NHTSA 14V-635. When I called my local Dodge Ram dealership to schedule an appointment to correct the safety issue, they told me the parts were not available. For more information I would have to call Chrysler. On 12/26/14 I was told by Chrysler the parts would be available April 2015. On May 1st, I received a subsequent "important safety recall" P65/NHTSA 14V-635 from Chrysler, so I called my local doge Ram dealership to schedule the appointment. I was told again the parts are not available and I would have to call Chrysler to get more information. I do not believe Chrysler is taking this important safety recall seriously. That being said, on the safety notice it says "a leaking diesel fuel filter/heater could cause under hoodsmoke and/or an engine compartment fire".

I was driving at 60 mph when I had to come to a stop because of traffic and the throttle apparently did not disengage causing me to slam on the brakes hard. Only after a few seconds when I stopped did the vehicle downshift and returned to idle function.this has happened before and since this incident.the vehicle has also idled high at times and will not slow down when removing pressure to the fuel pedal.it is as if the throttle assembly sticks which is an apparent electrical malfunction.this is and has become a serious safety issue with this vehicle. I have made a complaint before and contacted Dodge Ram about this with no satisfaction.I will be drafting a registered letter to nhts board and Dodge Ram releasing liability from this issue until it is resolved. I also have a recall about the fuel filter heater from December and still the manufacture has not provided the parts so as to fix this problem which can cause fires in the engine compartment.

Recall P65, received notice in Oct. 2014, contacted Dodge day letter was received. Asked if vehicle was safe to drive at which time they stated "we can not tell you if your vehicle is safe or not", asked to schedule service and informed no parts at this time...fast forward 5 months..on the Dodge website it clearly states my vehicle must be inspected for fuel leak on this recall...so I call Dodge and once again I'm told no parts yet, they don't even know what parts are needed, so I once again asked if the vehicle was safe to drive and that I won't have an engine fire and received the same response as last time...I asked if at least my vehicle can be inspected to see if it has a fuel leak so I know if it's safe to drive and the response was no, since no parts, "its a liability issue if they inspect and don't have parts".....nor will they provide a rental and guess what if it catches fire they won't pay for it...I didn't spend over 50K to have a lawn decoration, I bought the vehicle to drive!

I received a recall notice in early December 2014 stating that there is an issue with a diesel fuel heater electrical connector on my truck that may lead to O-ring failure and potential fire. I have contacted the dealer twice and as of last contact they have no idea when a "fix" might be available. Since possible fire is the risk and the dealer, initially, did not even know they was/is a recall, I am concerned. The dealer suggested that I contact Chrysler since the dealer knew nothing about it. Since I was talking with the Chrysler dealer that I purchased the vehicle from, I assumed I was talking with Chrysler. It has been over a month since my last contact with them and I have heard nothing to date. Can you help or provide additional information, please.

Dodge has issued a recall from October 7 2014 for recall P65 / nhtsa14V-635 stating that the diesel fuel heater may overheat leak diesel and cause smoke under the hood or catch fire. After having service at the dealer they stated they have no fix yet or parts for this safety issue which may cause a fire, here are their words from their website under recall status for my VIN incomplete but repair parts are not available. This is the second safety issue where Dodge Ram has had a safety issue but no parts the first was the left tie rod where they had no parts available. Why are they allowed to issue safety recalls and have no parts to fix issues that could cause the vehicle to catch on fire or smoke this places people on the road at risk.
