Just reactivated door locks after months of manually locking all 3 passenger doors and they are currently working with the key fob and door switch but not the passive entry. They have been intermittently not functioning properly. I purchased the truck in 2019 fully functional but suspect the previous owner had similar problems. Door locks worked properly for a few months then only the driver's door would lock electronically but all doors would unlock. I tried multiple setting changes that did not result in any return to operation. Both key fobs frequently require multiple presses to unlock even just the driver's door.

Alarm goes off if only the driver's door is locked and you open any other door to lock it, so you have to manually lock all three passenger doors before locking the driver's door at least by the fob that I believe would activate the alarm system (the BCM believes the door was locked). Auto door lock also is affected in that only the driver's door would lock leaving all three passenger doors unlocked. Safety problem - YES. Potential solution - replace Body Control Module (BCM). Local dealership wants to clean the locking mechanisms but that doesn't explain the return of any operation or other ghost problem filed separately that is resolved by removing power from the system (reboot). Lock problem doesn't resolve with "reboot".

Update from Oct 20, 2021: After pondering the BCM replacement. I opted to try a replacing one of the cheaper components of the electronic system components - the key fob. This was never a recommendation from anyone I know of on-line or in -person. For some time now after replacing the key fob all of the "ghosties" have abated.
