I was traveling north on I-95 at 73 MPH. I hit a small bump with front left tire and the steering wheel started jumping in my hands. The left front wheel was wobbling to the point that I lost control of the truck. My wife was in the passenger seat and my 5 year old girl and 3 year old boy was in the back. The traffic was tight and I went into the lane beside of me causing the car to the left to go into the lane to his left. I hit the brakes to slow down to prevent the wheel from coming off and causing serious injury/death. I pulled off the road and inspected the truck and could find no damage. This is about the 3-4th time this has happened but this was the most sever and frankly scared me, and gave me and my wife a nightmares last night.
I researched the problem today on the internet and found that Ram has known of this problem, but has chosen not to fix it or even warn about potential serious problems. I regret not looking into this after the first couple of events (they were minor in nature). Only after Ram put my family into a serious problem did I look into the "DEATH WOBBLE". What is Ram going to do to fix the problem and are they liable if injury happens because they have not acknowledged their serious error.
