check engine light comes on and engine stutters or dies
Was out with family and truck would not crank or stay cranked. When it did, the check engine light and stabilility light came on. Was able to make it back to dealer before they closed, but only at less than 60 mph on highway (was about 25 miles away). Whenever stopped at light it would die, and stutter. Only have approximately 6700 miles on truck and has been getting approx. 10.2 mpg when not towing anything. I need for the weekend for camping/hunting trip with family. Bought to tow RV and expected lower gas mileage but this is ridiculous. I am hoping the dealer will tell me something good. Pissed cause, only made 2 payments so far.

My 2016 Ram 2500 6.7 L Cummins is the biggest piece of s***. Ram is a fraud company. The have tonka toys built better then this truck. 80,000 miles and the turbo component to the truck is shot. 6 yrs 80,000 miles, and now a $10,000 fix is needed due to poor designs and unnecessary add ons that are horribly designed and made. (Ram is a 3rd world company hiding behind the flag) I have only put Chevron Diesel in the truck for the entire life of it. I have only had it repaired at a dealership supposedly with RAM certified mechanics (what a rip off). I had Antioch Dodge/Ram do such a bad job on my truck it had to be redone by Walnut Creek Ram.
I told Ram about this mechanic and they told me they are not responsible for dealership employees, as that is a private business. Throughout this experience I have been made fully aware that RAM sells a crappy product they don't even stand behind. They look at their customers and say oh well you bought it? If you are thinking about spending $60,000+ on a diesel truck and you want a Cummins motor, go buy a Nissan (how pathetic). Please take my advice to you. DO NOT BUY A RAM truck. Nothing but problems and the company does nothing to help the customers that pay financially support them. I would expect at least they would stand behind their product and offer to buy this nightmare back but of corse that won't happen. DODGE/Ram is not American and don't be fooled like I was. What a $60,000 mistake.
