ABS warning lights came on took the truck back to the dealer (approx 54000 miles) replaced abs pump unit and would not cover under warranty as it was out due to miles. Now again at 108000 I am getting abs warning and electronic brake system warning This is clearly a repetitive brake safety issue and a recall should be enacted

In October 2012, my 2018 Ram 2500 had issues with the brake module and ABS system. The truck had 49000 miles when the system intermittently displayed messages to service ABS system. A trusted local mechanic checked and found a service bulletin about the issue. I had him replace the brake module and master cylinder. I then had a Chrysler dealer reprogram the module. My costs was approximately 800 dollars. Now it is summer of 2023 with 65000 miles and the same issue is occurring. I think it is time for Fiat Chrysler America to step up and make these repairs. It is dangerous to have this situation. It affects cruise control, four wheel drive, and of course negates having ABS. I need this truck and cannot afford to park it.

Started recently getting an anti-skid warning with a chime. I took the truck to a nearby mechanic to read the code, he said the antilock brakes were bad, and suggested taking it to a dealer. I took the truck to the Ram dealership in Mineral Wells TX and the dealer confirmed the code. I have talked with 3 different Ram service departments and they all tell me the parts will not be available until next year. Why should I drive an unsafe vehicle, because the manufacturer cannot supply parts?

Antilock Brake and Traction control warning lights alert with dashboard message intermittently notifying to "service electronic brake system" and "service antilock brakes". Warnings come and go and may stay off for several days. When in warning mode, cruise control is de-activated; either shutting off, if set, or not allowing use. Dealer repaired by replacing pump control module (part#68143491AB) at a total cost of $683.19 for parts and labor. Odometer mileage at time of event was approximately 76,600 miles. Dealer indicated that this was a very common problem. Truck should be recalled and repaired at manufacturer's expense.

Contacted manufacturer and will not compensate for repairs as vehicle is out of warranty. The ABS and Traction Control light comes on. The cruise control is disabled when this happens. Vehicle only has 17k miles but issue started at 16.7k miles. On dry pavement not an issue but on slippery roads and ice and snow this could be a possible cause of an accident. In May I tried to order the ABS control module and Hydraulic Control Unit and was told by the dealership it would not be available until August. I contacted the dealership and now they are telling me late September but more than likely will be later. I was told Dodge is doing an engineering review on these components and that will not be completed until February 2024. According to my research the high failure rate is cause for concern and no parts availability complicates the issue. Why has a recall not been issued by the manufacture. Obviously something is going on with these parts. Should the engineering review by Dodge result in component redesign, I would want to hold off until redesign parts can be obtained. The vehicle is derivable but with winters approach safety concerns should prompt the NHTSA to do something about this issue.

Vehicle started displaying -??Service Electronic Braking System-?? and -??Service Anti-Lock Brakes-?? intermittently and rapidly, during normal driving. Problem appears at random, and when it happens, the cruise control cuts out causing loss of speed. Truck shows code C0020-01 with an ABS code reader, meaning that either the Hydraulic Control Unit or Anti Lock Brake Module (or both) require replacement. Upon researching repair, I have found that this is a very common problem with these trucks, and that there is a possible NHTSA investigation into this, as Ram is very aware of the problem (as evidenced by their responses on forums discussing this problem) but has not issued a recall.

While driving on interstate, Abs system went out, and as a consequence, the cruiser control also failed unexpectedly. Vehicle has less than 60,000 miles on odometer. Per review of this issue on the web, there is currently a class action lawsuit against Stellantis regarding this particular issue. Moreover, there is plenty of data to suggest that replacement parts also fail in short order-??within the warranty period of the part. Problem was reproduced-??problem was recurrent-??problem was verified-??by dealer. Warning caution messages were presented on the instrument cluster. Dealer ordered replacement HCU (hydraulic control unit). In the interim, dealer said vehicle was safe to drive. The very next day after picking truck up from dealer-??while waiting for HCU part to arrive and be installed-??.By sheer coincidence, or directly related, I lost almost all brake pressure within 3 weeks of first receiving the abs fail message-??while driving on the interstate. I didnt know of the diminished braking until I began to exit the interstate at high speed. Very, very dangerous situation-??.brake pedal to the floor-??and much distance required to get the truck to a stop. Fortunately, no other vehicle was in my path as I tried to get the truck slowed and stopped.

I purchased my vehicle on 6/25/2019. At 951 miles on 5/11/20 my ABS system went out and was replaced under warranty. At 11917 miles on 9/17/21 my ABS system went out again and was replaced under warranty.
