"Service Antilock Brake System" & "Service Electronic Braking System" error messages are popping up on the dash on and off while truck is running. Sometimes pop on after starting the vehicle while sitting in drive and other times while driving.

Truck has 26xxx miles on it. ABS and electronic braking system light comes on and off randomly. Causing me to lose traction control, cruise control and ABS. Dodge dealership run diagnostic on it and stated it has a bad HCU. Their are currently about 400k trucks with this same issue. Dodge is aware of the problem and the safety hazard of this issue. Dodge refuses to issue a recall. Cost to repair is $1000. Please force dodge to issue a recall and take responsibility for this mechanical failure

This vehicle has had a recall on ABS module and HCU for ABS. The replacement is now repeating the same issues as the original within a few miles. (Service ABS, traction control, and various other lights flash intermittently, causing the cruise control to turn off suddenly, which represents a huge danger.) Not to mention the constant bells and whistles being distracting.

warning lamp repeadly blinds on dashboard to service abs brake system. turns out this is a common problem with the ram abs control module going bad. this is confirmed by dodge dealership and there's a long waiting list for the replacement part. driving with afaulty abs module results in poor braking performance.

During normal operation the ABS, Traction control and electronic braking system warning lights came on. Now when i am driving the Service electronic braking system lights will come on and off intermittently. Some times if i hit a bump it will come on briefly. My cruise control does not work and from what I've read my 4 wheel drive may not work. I live in the snow belt and use this truck as primary transportation as well as plowing snow and for our business. Im told this can be a brake module. I only have 40000 miles on my 2018 ram big horn. should not be having these safety problems.

ABS and traction control indicator lights start flashing and became intermittent during a road trip. I took to dealer and they replaced the abs motor pump and controller this happen 11/21 and after the warranty expired. 3 months ago it flashed a couple of times and now is flashing intermittently each day and will cost another $1600 to replace. The code is C0020-01 and is attached. This happens about 1 min after I start the engine, goes away for a few minutes until I hit some bump in the road and it triggers.

While normal driving of my 2018 Ram 2500, I began to get random audible warnings, service anti-lock brake and service traction control system dash lights. The lights would flicker on and off and warning chime would 'bing" numerous times. This caused the cruise control to shut off while doing 65mph. Some drives I would get nothing, others would be a solid 5 minutes of flashing and chiming. Scan tool identified the C0020-01 DTC. ABS pump motor control general electrical failure. Appointment was made at local RAM dealer and I was told that the parts are unavailable and on national backorder. I am now uncertain driving the truck as I do not know if the brakes could go out randomly or fail completely. Upon researching this fault, it seems to be a very common issue with the 2018 Ram trucks.

Anti-lock brake / traction control lights come with audible chime. Message reads service anti-lock brakes and service electronic brakes. Problem is intermittent with light coming on for a duration then going out and clearing message center. At times, the warning lights turn on and off rapidly giving multiple audible tones. Activation of light causes deactivation of cruise control. At highway speeds - rapid deceleration occurs. Unknown if the anti-lock brake or traction control will function while light is on. This will be the second time this issue has occurred. First time repair was covered under warranty for same issue. Diagnostic-??s performed at authorized Ram dealer (10/27/2023) (Approx. 48500 mile's) indicates issue with Anti-lock brake control and Anti-lock brake module. Remedy - replace defective parts with: 68143491AB Control: Anti-Lock Brake 68347098AB Module: Anti-lock brake Total cost to repair: $1478.25 Dealer states that no factory warranty on this repair. Parts not available until February 21st 2024

Anti=Lock Brake System- Hydraulic Control Unit. I bought this truck new. HCU has already been replaced once while truck was under warranty. Unit has failed again. I have been driving and trailering with a faulted ABS system since 10/22. Been to dealer for repair. No replacement units available."???" And it is constantly ding donging on/off as it faults. Can not trade it in with the fault. 70k$$$ truck! They should buy it back if they cant provide a solution or parts. And they expect me to pay for it if it is repaired a second time. Said 1st replacement warranty ended with the truck warranty. I have worked for a top automotive fuel injector/ABS Module manufacturer for the past 28yrs and I can tell you- This Is Not Acceptable.

ABS control module is bad. Makes abs and traction control lights blink on and off erratically. Have had it replaced over a year ago under warranty for the same problem. Now it's doing it again and was told part wasn't going to be available tell February of 2024.

I was driving my vehicle and a car in front of me stopped at a traffic light. I attempted to brake my truck to stop the vehicle and I only had limited braking power and hit the vehicle n front of me. I had been experiencing intermittent ABS and Traction Control lights and I had a mechanic check all the wheel sensors and replaced one sensor that was damaged when the sensors were checked and cleaned. I had no indicator lights on prior to the crash and the ABS and Traction Control lights were illuminated after the crash. This was verified by the officer onsite at the crash.

ABS light comes on and off constant. Service abs system, service electronic braking system. Ram came up with the code HCU hydraulic control unit failure. They will not fix it unless I come up with the 1500$$ to fix it out of pocket. My truck just turned over 60k this is ridiculous. Go on google and please type this in. It a massive issue in all 2018 rams. Should be a recall at this point. If you guys can fast forward me to get repaired please let me know I feel as if this could cause harm if the brakes lock up or I get in a skid situation if could cause harm to myself or others or properties. 2017 & 2018 Ram trucks have have a lot of ABS brake failures. I only have 30,000 miles on my truck. At 22,000 miles I had a ABS module replaced. Now at 30,000 miles I need another ABS module replaced. The problem is Ram does not have any ABA modules available. I am hearing they might have some by March. According to the Ram dealer, Ram is designing a new one because of all the failures. So that leaves a lot of Ram trucks on the road without ABS braking. Not a good thing to happen with winter coming on. Someone needs to address this problem with Ram. Thanks

When I had to use excessive pressure on brakes, I received a DTC and a messaged flashed on my display to service ABS system as well as TCS. I had the DTC read which showed C0020-01 ABS Pump Motor Control General Electrical. It was cleared but when I drove over a speed bump at my kids' school, the same message displays. The message has also displayed during wet weather and minor wheel spin (over white painted crosswalk lines) from a stop. I spoke to a technician from the Chrysler dealership and was informed this has become common and to file a concern here.
