The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V835000 (Power Train) however, after the recall repair was performed, the contact was unable to access the transmission dipstick to check the transmission fluid. The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be serviced at the dealer to inspect the transmission fluid. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 9,800.

Vehicle was delivered in late January, 2022. In Mid March, 2022, the Transmission started bypassing at intervals. The dealer could not replicate the problem with no codes available. The vehicle has been in the dealership at least 6 times with no results. Also, on a trip to Colorado, the transmission down shifted on one occasion, that was so loud because of an internal bang. Turned off the vehicle and it reset. This is a recurring problem that needs to be fixed. The Dealership has always been helpful, but Ram will only help through their Star Group. My previous Ram 2500 had the same problem, but also, would not throw a code. It was finally fixed after 4-6 visits and the shifting solenoids were replaced, which worked.

The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. The contact stated that they have waited over 30 days so far for a replacement dipstick.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the transmission malfunctioned, and the vehicle continued to accelerate after releasing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle started shuddering and the transmission failed to shift to the intended gear. There was an abnormal burning odor of transmission fluid inside and outside the vehicle. There was a message displayed that the transmission fluid was overheating. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,000.

I purchased a brand new RAM 2500 Limited Cummins. Crew Cab, long bed. I heard online on one of the diesel truck forums that the factory was underfilling the differentials. I checked both differentials, and found that the front was at least 3/4 of a quart low on oil, and the rear was about 1/4 of a quart low. This could potentially cause a crash or wheel lockup if the differential were to fail due to being low on oil!
