1. Complete Brake Failure. No warning lights came on. There is no emergency warning system for Brake Failure. This could have been catastrophic. This could have turned deadly if we were driving on the highway with no warnings Dec 15, 2024 I drove the truck during the day on the highway and made various stops for Christmas Shopping. I went for dinner with my Family. After dinner climbed into the truck and depressed the break and started the truck. Once the truck started the break pedal could be pushed to the back floorboards. I know this was not right. Turned the truck off and started it again and up it in drive thinking it would correct. It did not turned onto a sidewalk put he truck in park and called a towtruck. 2. The 12" display goes black constantly. Even after several software upgrades. You cannot see heat/radio/ mapping/ phone system nothing it completely shuts down 3. Transmission, when you stop and then drive slowly, press the brakes lift off the brakes slightly the truck lunges forward so you really have to be careful or you will crash into the car in front of you.

4.10 Axle Ratio has manufacturing defect. Pinion bearing spins in differential housing causing miss-alignment between pinion and ring gear. Resulting in vibration, noise, binding at low RPM and slamming sensation with sudden acceleration. Full rear end lock up possible. Providing dangerous situation, especially when using as tow vehicle. Truck reported has 3rd (third) axle housing installed, with defects already present requiring another replacement.

A driver was driving their 2022 Ram 2500 to the first job of the day on surface streets in Hollywood, CA. While driving they heard a sudden banging noise from under the truck and lost the ability to accelerate. The driver used the service brakes to stop the vehicle and attempted to put the unit in Park, but Park would not hold the vehicle. The vehicle would also not go into drive or reverse, so they used the parking brakes to secure the vehicle. The vehicle was towed back to the yard and inspected by our internal Fleet Dept. It was found that the driveshaft had come disconnected from the transmission output flange. Three of the four bolts were missing and the fourth was sheared off in the output flange. When the driveshaft came loose it dented the bottom of the cab, tore up a wiring harness and damaged the carrier bearing. The vehicle was towed to a Ram dealer where they replaced the driveshaft and damaged components under warranty and retained the failed parts.

You have to stop an change the gears to park then start again.I has happened 3 or 4 times.most of the time when you stop at a light or stop sign and take off when it drops to a lower gear it makes a sudden jerk. Some times tyhe transmission slams in to gear rather hard, I am going to be out of warranty if some one does not fix this problem. It has 12,276.7 miles on it as of right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don, t drive it much but it is going to blow the engine up or the tramission.

The contact owns a 2022 Dodge Ram. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on some occasions, the message "Regenerate the Vehicle" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the powertrain software module needed to be updated. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the urea pump needed to be replaced. The part was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, where it was determined that the air filter, the catalytic converter, the nitrous oxide sensor, the temperature sensor, and the particulate matter sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 33,962.

Recall ZA3 Heavy Duty Truck Transmission Dipstick. I received this recall one year ago in November 2022. I called my dealer to get it in for service, they told me those were on back order for 3-6 months. I kept checking back with them in May 2023, and also in August 2023 and was told both times parts were still on back order. Still NOT fixed, and it-??s really worrying!!

On 7/29/2023 was told my Rear Differential fluid was low by a non-dealer service provider. They stated no leak was detected, but the fluid was low and they topped it off as part of their stated service. In reviewing my previous oil changes performed at dealerships it states that only an inspection for a leak was done for differential units. Which leads me to believe that the truck came from the manufacturer with the reduced amount of fluid. This could still result in failed parts due to the unit not having the sufficient amount of lubricants for 33,000 miles. Which could lead to an accident involving myself and other vehicles. Each dealer now states that it is up to me to cover the cost of having it investigated due to it not being detected by a Ram Dealership. When, in truth, it would have never been found due to their "multi point inspection" parameters. The only time it would have been detected by a dealership is after a safety incident had already occurred.

11/21 purchased a 2022 Ram 2500 Tradesman level 2. Have been experiencing multiple issues since the purchase. Here is the MOST concerning at this time: On February 11, 2023 was at a stop sign when it felt like the truck was hit from behind. Looked in rearview mirror and there was no vehicle behind me. Was able to get it into a dealer on March 2, 2023 to get checked out. They only drove for one mile and stated no issue. Also stated that since no error code showed on the computer, then there is not an issue. This intermittent issue continues with multiple visits to dealerships with the same outcome: they are not able to duplicate the issue and no code is showing on the computer. My safety concern is the truck could lurch forward and hit someone walking through an intersection or another vehicle that is stopped in front of me when an assured clear distance is not possible. Or someone could think traffic was moving forward and hit me from behind. Example: during rush hour traffic assured clear distance is left, but other drivers see that as an opening and pull in front of me. Also, not everyone leaves a safe distance between vehicles. It happened 2 times on my drive last night alone. Rush hour is stressful enough without the added issue of not trusting my truck to perform safely. No warning lights or gauges show up when the issue is happening. Have engaged with Stellantis Customer Care. Was informed by one customer care associate they had a case just like this one for another customer. They did not provide a resolution to this case.
