The trucks body control module is faulty causing only the drivers electric door locks to lock making the child safety locks in operable. By doing online research this appears to be a common problem with these trucks and can pose a major safety issue for children in the back seats.

The contact owns a 2013 Ram 3500. The contact stated that the frame had a spring mount that was not welded properly and caused the spring mount to become loose and separate from the frame. The vehicle was taken to a dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. In addition, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V541000 (steering) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Truck was smoking under hood so pulled over to side of road and truck was on fire under the hood. Truck was completely burned. Found a recall on your website #P65.
