ABS warning light and service brake system light keep going on and off. Sometimes only occasionally and sometimes constantly going on and off. Service code 0020 indicates ABS computer and possibly hydraulic pump replacement is needed. Truck has less than 36000 miles when this started but it exceeds the 3 years warranty period. Dealers indicate parts are no longer available to make repairs. This needs to be a safety recall with parts available for repairs to be completed. I have had it inspected by an independent service center and they have continuously said parts are still not available since April 2023 when this problem first occurred and was diagnosed. I see many forums and some class action lawsuits online indicating I am not the only one with this issue.

Service abs system and traction control lights come on and go off at random times. When the lights come on it disables cruise control. While driving it has come on and disabled the cruise on several occasions and is a hazard while driving. I have told I will need to replace the hydraulic control unit but is on back order with no eta on parts

Service anti-lock brake and traction control system warning lights intermittently flash. This also causes a dinging sound. Problem is persistent. Ram dealer says abs brake module and hydraulic units need to be replaced. Parts backordered until March which means I will have to drive an unsafe vehicle with the constant distraction of flashing lights and warning tones or park my vehicle for 4 months.

My ABS/Traction Control warning lights have been coming on and off for some time. They come on for random lengths of time. I brought it to the dealer at the end of July when the lights had been on long enough for the dealer to plug a unit in to read the code. I believe they stated it needed a control unit/board. I made an appointment to fix it a week later. When I arrived they stated they did not have the part in stock and they would notify me when it came in. Later that day I received a call from the dealer stating that the part would not be available until February 2024 because engineers were working on a fix. I now have to wait at least 8 months for a fix. I have researched online forums and there have been complaints for several years on this problem. There also seems to be a class action suit over this in two states. To say this is a safety hazard is an understatement. At any time I can no longer have ABS/Traction Control. There is no reason for not demanding a recall to correct this dangerous safety issue.

my 2018 Ram 3500 had less than 36,000 miles when the anti-lock brake system and service electronic brake system alarms began randomly flashing. this happens now every few seconds and so speed/cruise control no longer functions, also anti-lock and skid prevention has failed. Dealers have 3 month back order on the Hydraulic Control Unit, leaving owners the choice of operating an unsafe vehicle, or parking it for months.

ABS and Traction control lights/audible warnings came on at about 25K miles on my 2018 Ram 3500 Dually truck. ABS control module and I think HCU were replaced under warranty. At about 50K the problem came back, ABS and Traction lights constantly coming on. Dealer said the issue is out of warranty now. Dealer said I'd have to pay a diagnostic fee, parts/labor, and computer re-program in the thousands. Dealer said because this is a common issue, and my truck was repaired once under warranty, that after the repairs they could file to see if the manufacturer would cover any of it. Even if I buy and replace the parts that have been back ordered, I'd have to pay thousands for the parts and to have the dealer program the parts to the truck. I have not repaired this yet, because I believe the parts are faulty and will need to be replaced every 25k miles. I've read about many people having these same issues with the brakes on these Ram trucks.

ABS and traction lights come on intermittently with the brakes feeling different.Diagnostic shows code C0020-01 which is apparently a very common issue with 2018 Rams.Dealer told me today(10-25-23) no part-??s available at the earliest will be Feb. of 2024.This truck has 81000 miles on it and is my daily driver.I would hope Ram steps up and fixes problems at NO CHARGE for everyone effected.

Truck gets a service electronic braking check engine light and disables traction control as well as the cruise control. The braking becomes disabled at random times. Taken the unit to the dealership just to be told the part has been backordered for over 2 years and that they cannot sell me the HBU to repair it. They said they could remove the unit and have it shipped off to be remanufactured but my truck will be inop for min 2 weeks. Was told the part I needed 68143491AB

The HCU /ABS lights go on and off and the truck feels like it brakes different. My safety is at risk because the brakes are not functioning properly No, this is a well known issue with these trucks. Nothing on my truck as been inspected by an outside source. The ABS light and the traction control light come on and off intermittently.

The ABS light and traction control light randomly come on. I loose breaking power from time to time. It is a known issue with these vehicles. Unfortunately there is no way to fix it at this time. All of the dealerships near me have the part on back order and have for well over 6 months. It-??s not very fun to drive around with no reliable ABS and the possibility the brakes may fail. I do not drive my truck basically at all anymore. It is a 2018 with 44000 miles. There is no reason the ABS should have failed. The vehicle has been inspected and I was told that a new module was needed. The problem is, I can-??t get the module. This needs to be fixed

In August 22 I replace the hydraulic control unit on this truck to fix the intermittent abs and traction control message and ding on my evic and now in October 23 I am getting the same intermittent messages again. I paid and did the repair back in august myself but now seems to be a delay in getting the parts. I bought the truck in December 2017 so if you average the miles the second HCU only has approximately 8000 miles on it. These parts should last longer than that. The truck has only 47000 total miles on it.

At around 50,000 miles my truck began to turn off cruise control while driving, ding, and the ABS, as well as, the traction control light came on. It goes on and off repeatedly while driving. This is incredibly distracting and quite possibly dangerous for braking and handling. The local dealership is aware and have stated that even though it is still under warranty, there is no available part to fix it.
