3500 Laramie 6.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 16,000 miles

When going over a pothole or small bump I get a loud bang from the passenger side floor area. I don't drive this vehicle a lot so this hasn't been at the top of my to-do list. I am just getting around to getting it looked at.

3500 Bighorn 6.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 300 miles

While going slow, below 20 mph and over a pot hole, pulling over a curb at 1-2 mph and then hitting a hole in a gravel driveway at 3-5 mph there is a loud thump in the passenger floor board area. I have unprofessionally been working on cars for over 30 years and it sounds like a busted strut sound. (Yes, I know there isn't a strut on my truck).

I took to dealer, Cronin CJDR in Lebanon OH and after the second routine maintenance visit and complaint they told me it was my bed cover lock that was clanking the side of the bed. My employee who sits in the passenger side of the truck quite often looked at the guy and said it bangs my foot off the floor, its not the cover lock in the bed. Dude snuffed and did nothing. It has done this since new.
