The contact owns a 2019 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a vibration was felt and heard coming from the front passenger-€™s side wheel area. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer for routine services, the contact made the mechanic aware of the failure; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that after he left the dealer, he felt a vibration coming from the front passenger-€™s side wheel area as the tire pressure warning light illuminated. After the contact pulled over, he noticed the front passenger-€™s side tire was damaged and had a significant amount of tread coming out. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to replace the tire. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for replacement of the rear end due to an unknown recall and the contact made them aware of the failure again; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that after changing the front passenger-€™s side tire three previous times and the wheel bearing, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15.

Front differential locked up without notice on highway at highway speed and almost lost control of my vehicle. Due to the front different locking up, the front driveshaft broke but did not come completely off right away and almost came through the floor of my vehicle. The floor where the drivers feet rest right underneath the brake pedal and gas pedal bent up a few inches and is almost touching the pedal. Pieces of the driveshaft flew out all over the highway and could have injured or killed someone else if it wasn-€™t early AM when roads were empty. Dash cam footage shows the moment it happened, it felt and looks like I hit a land mine. Front differential needs complete replacement, there is a hole in my frame and much more was damaged due to this. Towed into dealer and manufacturer denied warranty claim. Arbitration determined it was a warrantable item and a lemon but the manufacturer still refuses to do anything about it except repurchase the vehicle at a discounted price. Very scary.

Two main issues that are causing a lot of concern. 1) the hood shakes to the point that it will weaken over time and looks like at times the hood will come off. It's severely concerning. The fix was to adjust the hood stops. This only lifted the hood more breaking the seal around the hood with major air gaps this happens at highway speeds and in heavy winds. 2) the front end makes a loud audible clunk. We have replaced cab mounts, checked the suspension components and the issue is still there. Something is certainly making contact and overtime will wear out. This happens on off camber turns or off camber approach and departures (slow speeds. Think of going into a parking lot or pulling out of a driveway).

After having this truck in the service department 7 times for an issue with the auto level rear air suspension and still not having the issue solved I firmly believe that after this incident occurred that someone is going to be seriously hurt or killed. On February 18, 2020 I was driving 70mph down a 6-7% downgrade while pulling a 25ft big tex flatbed trailer unloaded weighing 5,800 pounds when out of no where it decided to switch itself out of alternate trailer height to normal right height. It scared the living daylights out of me. Not knowing if the entire system was going to fail and potentially blowout taking out my brake lines along with it. Like I already stated I have had this truck in the service department 7 times for this issue and not one person can figure out what is wrong with the truck. I have requested the dealership where I purchased it from to re-purchase it but the firmly denied that. I have also requested that the fca us llc re-purchase this truck due to my state lemon law but they as well firmly denied a re-purchase.
