I purchased my ram 3500 dually Mega cab in February. I use it to pull gooseneck trailer to transport cars. I had a load from Nashville to Salt Lake City Utah when the truck said service exhaust system see dealer, and lost all power. I pulled off highway 80 to side, million dollar insurance policy with progressive but they don’t offer road side assistance 🤔 so I had to pay to get my truck towed to nearest Ram dealer, which was Cowboy Ram. They advised me the injection is on back order/ recall so, instead of giving me a loaner vehicle where I could keep working, they tried to sell me another Dually. Desperate, I said ok my credit score is 700 but being how I just purchased a Ram in February even with trade in value it was still negative Equity so bank wouldn’t approve.
So I’m being punished because ram didn’t have part so I may lose my business because Ram injection pump is no good, with Cowboy dealership saying they're trying. I’ve been stuck in Wyoming for a week. While sitting in waiting room, a salesman ask another customer while they were waiting would they like to test drive any vehicle while waiting. And I’m looking like wow, they wouldn’t even offer me a rental car or a room. I’m from Memphis Tennessee, stranded in Wyoming - they offer me a water.
The Ram complaint line is not really helping their customers - there’s no way I should be punished because they don’t have a part. And offer me a van to drive to Memphis and give them a couple of months to fix truck...
Update from Apr 8, 2021: I took the ram back to Millington - they said it had a diesel leak and it was fixed right in Cowboy Ram in Cheyenne Wyoming, and they would fix it. Well, 3 weeks later the truck caught a fire in Texas starting from engine to bed of Dually. It’s totaled, and Ram says it isn’t their fault but they just put a recall out on super duty trucks catching a fire and not to park under carport or close to house.
