This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ram dealer.
After driving the vehicle 6,000 miles off the lot, it just stopped running on my way to work. I was planning on getting an oil change soon. However, the car stopped because there was no oil in it! The Ram dealer and Chrysler Customer care said to have an "oil consumption test". After the test they said that it was completely normal for 1 quart of full synthetic oil to magically disappear every 1,000 miles. It is not normal to me and to everyone I've told about the problem. It's ridiculous and Chrysler is just hiding a major flaw in this engine.

2018 City Ram Pro master shut down yesterday. It has a automatic shut down if oil is low. This vehicle is just over a year old. Dealer suggested that low oil might be the problem. Put in 2.5 qts of oil to get it to the bottom of the dip stick. It started back up. Took to dealer for oil change. They marked the dip stick and told us to bring back after 1000 miles to check. And they wanted us to to the same at 2000 and 3000 miles. They didn't seem to know what was the problem, Seen the same thing on this site. I don't believe a new vehicle should be having a problem like this. We have followed the scheduled maintenance for this vehicle. If you are having this problem, please post.
