I've been dealing with the passenger side turn signal light for quite some time now. I have replaced the bulb on several occasions and even replaced the lighting housing. It worked one day then bulb stopped working and I have been receiving a turn light message. After looking at the bulb , the bulb has melted and I believe that this could cause a fire. It needs to be recalled and corrected. I paid quite a bit for this vehicle because I love Saabs.

There is a problem with the rear turn signal assemblies. The flashers starts normally for three blinks and then goes very fast. A warning appears on the message screen notifying me to check my left rear tail light. The backup light has already burned out and is not serviceable. I've been reading posts and blogs related to this subject and it seems to be a common problem across the 2010-11 years. It appears that this is a manufacturers problem. A recall is needed to address the problem as it appears that excessive heat in the tail light assembly from the LED bulbs and the stop / turn signal bulb are melting the fittings. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed.
