This was the THIRD accelerator sensor I had replaced. This honestly should have been a recall issue, as I've done research and saw that many others had the same problem. Just an fyi, do NOT buy this car now as used!! Because if this part goes out for you, there are next to NO parts to be found anymore for this particular problem OR vehicle. And if they do find parts from Timbuktu, you'll pay out the yin-yang for them! I had the first line of Saturns but as time went on, their quality went straight downhill. Small wonder they went defunct. My mechanic did this final repair and said 'get rid of this car....very soon!" which I did. Too bad as I DID like the way it handled and the good gas mileage. Only had a little over 40,000 miles when I did trade it in, but I literally spent thousands in repairs over the years. And I'm easy on cars, keep them maintained, and baby them....just a mechanical and financial pain and drain.
