My car has not been switching gears properly. There was a recall about transmissions for my vehicle before I purchased it. I was unaware until after I had purchased the car. I have been to the dealership and was told that it was the transmission control module. If there was a recall on the parts before I purchased it, and it wasn't fixed before hand I shouldn't have to pay for the malfunctions of the car that I'm still paying on. The problems started when the gear shift started to stick in the park position where I couldn't get the key out of the ignition; and now I've noticed that where the RPMs are the gears don't switch properly and I do not need my engine to blow. I would appreciate any and all help possible because I am not done paying for this car. Purchased this car from axelrod buick at 6603 Brookpark road. parma ohio 44129 in march of 2015. The dealership is trying to charge to fix this problem when there's been recalls for this problem. You can e-mail at bev8907@gmail.com. Thank you sincerely, Beverly Anderson. Much appreciated.

Bought with 107,000 miles for $4000, 10 months later with 121,000 miles total the transmission went out leaving me stranded. Took to mechanic tells me a $1600-$2000 fix or replace with new for $2500. It sounds like my transmission is slipping. I hear the car rev up.

I have had bad experiences with engines and powertrains of GM cars. If you plan to keep your car for over 5 years do not buy GM. My 2001 Chevrolet minivans had intake manifold problems, luckily fixed under warranty. Then, one of the minivan had engine gasket failure. Latest in the saga is that 8 year old Saturn Aura had transmission failure due to failed wave plate. There is a technical service bulletin out there. But GM gives runaround and does not want to fix it. Says, only some cars are covered for this known defect under warranty extension, but mine is not!
