For several years I can't get the key out of the ignition. At times I have had to leave the key there and then would get a dead battery. About 2 years ago I had a garage work on the issue and they replaced the shifter area. In a couple months I had the same problem again. I've been told there is no problem, put oil in the ignition switch, giggle the shifter. No one has ever given me a proper solution. I'm tired of it and I wish I could get rid of it. Can't get rid of it without doing a bunch of lying. Tired of being brushed off with the issue.

Absolutely no excuse for key to get stuck in the ignition! It is awful to arrive somewhere but can't leave the car, key won't release, if I get out and leave the key in, doors won't lock. I'm afraid my car will get stolen so I just have to wait, sometimes 1 minutes sometimes 15 or more.
