At around 50K my 2008 Saturn Outlook air conditioning system stopped working. The air conditioner would not blow cold air at all. A local dealership cleaned and sanitized the system and checked for leaks and re-filled with freon. The system worked for a couple of days as far as blowing cold air but not as well as before. I returned the car for them to look at again, they used a new machine to check for leaks and pressure checks, refilled with freon again. This time it worked for a day and has not worked since. After the second time, I was informed it was a compressor issue and it would be at least $1000. This seems extremely early for an air conditioner to go out, it was just out of warranty, of course.
