engine has a miss. all items have been replaced. plugs, wires, coil, compression test showed little weak in cyl 3. engine diagnoses showed misfire in cyl. 4, and egr reading. i was set on a burnt valve as told by others, so i removed head and noticed no. 3 exhaust valve was built up and not seating well and leaked lightly in a leak test with carb cleaner. i replaced no. 4 exhaust and no. 3intake also. speculation i guess. i put the head back on using new head gasket and copper gasket spray. part of the intake gasket broke when reinstalling the intake manifold. i used copper spray to reapply it. once all complete i started the vehicle and for a split second it was smooth and then not. i believe the tensioner was not primed up enough and i didnt tense it up enough. well any how i assumed timing was off. it was not. in addition to this it now blows smoke. light colored smoke that smells alot like unburnt fuel. not water. so now i am wondering, did it have a bad injector in no 4 to cause a miss. or did it have a cracked head, which once removed and reinstalled increased the crack. a test at the machine shop would verify such. i am so low on money and am relying on selling this car to catch up on immediate bills. mind you this car only has 84,000 miles. any feed back from any one would be very much appreciated.
