SL2

  • Manual transmission

First, let me say I love my car, original engine, transmisison and clutch. One very cold winter day I believe the fuel line froze and I lost power. A few days later it would stall and run rough. turns out it was the position sensor and here i thought my car was finally giving up on me. After 15 years it's still running. Of course it's been using oil since 60,000 miles, I topped off the oil every other time i filled the fuel tank. I say using oil because it never came back out of the exhaust. i would know since i have white car.

I've had my saturn sl2 for a number of years. I got almost 400k miles never had any issues till I let a friend borrow it. Now its hard to crank and stalls smells like its flooding out so I put new injectors and new egr valve on it, cleaned the throttle body and its still doing it. any thoughts or ideas. and blows black smoke out when I crank and have to rev it up it stumbles
