The car is in pristine condition, and has low mileage ...I repaired the car because I really like it, but it is terrible that the trans went at that time.

I purchase 2005 Saturn Vue in April. 2 weeks after I had it transmission failed to shift when clutch pedal went soft after finding out the salve cylinder had failed. The mechanic told me best to replace the slave cylinder and clutch set and throw out bearing. They did. Took them 3 days to do it, this is when it was out of warranty. After they where done with car, they said the transmission whines a little bit but should be ok and forgot to say the transmission was whining before the parts where replaced. Afterward the sound never went away. Car has not giving me any issues since. Vue has more than 264k miles mainly still have GM parts that never been replaced. I'm the 2nd owner. Cost for repair was $949 includes parts and labor.
Transmission whines when pushing the gas or letting go of throttle but if I put it in neutral while coming to a stop sound goes away. If I'm just idling you can hear the whining. If I push the gas while in neutral and idle don't here the whining.
When I push the clutch pedal down, the sound stops.Engine runs very quiet, but once I let go of the clutch pedal, sound comes back. I was told the sound will quit after throw out bearing replacement. Mine is a Geartag transmission, 5 speed manual. Not having rpm issues, shifting, no overheating, leaks or speed issues. Only thing I have not changed out is shift link cables and transmission speed sensor. Sound is coming from left side of the car. Any ideas let me know.
