I was in a hit and run accident on March 7th, 2023. The other vehicle hit my front driver side as you can see in the photos. I was instantly in shock and my head felt fuzzy. A police report was made from the officer that was on the scene. I did not go into the hospital that day, but have since then. I wasn't sure if airbags were supposed to deploy if I was hit on the side of the vehicle. It bothered me that it was such a forceful hit that I landed on the sidewalk and the airbags didn't work, so I looked it up. It says yes, they should have went off.
Well if you zoom in on the seats of the wrecked car you will clearly see the airbags did not deploy. I can remember the feel of the force of the hit but I don't remember what other motions my body made. I know that the hit was very very hard and I have had muscle spasms in my leg, upper arms, shoulders and across my chest. They are very painful, like Charlie horse cramps! My next is stiff still and I am so dizzy all the time. I am nauseated constantly.
I will be continuing medical care. Scion really needs to be checking into their airbag systems and seeing if something is wrong with them! This is no joke! People feel comforted knowing they purchased a safe vehicle! If it's not safe, if the airbags are not working properly - andpeople need to know!
