I have been having problems with the engine light randomly coming on in this car. Problem I am being told now is the filler line where gas is pumped into the car. First it was I needed a new gas cap, but this did not end the problem. Now it's the filler line itself which seem to be problem on Toyota/Scion cars. It seems from research this line cracks where it meets the gas tank (OFTEN). This is a serious issue and should be fix by Toyota/Scion since they know it is faulty material being used on the filler line.
