I was driving on the freeway, alone, when out of nowhere the sunroof on my ScionTC shattered. I was not driving under a bridge, nor were there any other cars directly next to me. When the sunroof shattered some of the glass flew off so I was left with essentially a giant hole in the roof of my car. I called my local Toyota dealership (where I purchased the car) and left a voicemail with the manager there. I never received a phone call back. Next I called the national Toyota line. Since my car was no longer under the warranty and there was not a recall, there was nothing they could do about it. Since I couldn't drive my car my only option was to pay to have it fixed. This was a $1,100+ repair so I went through insurance and just paid my deductible. How does a sunroof just shatter...? no one can tell me the answer to this.
