Last Sunday I got my 5th or 6th (lost count) rock chip in my windshield. My husband's 1996 Ford Contour has NEVER had a rock chip. In fact, the only other car that I've ever had a rock chip in was my 1975 Toyota Corolla and 1976 Toyota Corolla. I'm tired of paying $50+ each time I get a rock chip. State Farm is one of the insurance companies that makes getting a rock chip repaired through them, a pain. Apparently, they ONLY cover rock chips if THEY come to you to fix it, but you still have to pay your deductible, as I understand. Well, $100 deductible vs $50 at Jiffy Lube is a no-brainer. That is, unless my brain just doesn't get it?
