The contact owns a 2014 Scion Xd. The contact stated that while parked, the rear of the vehicle caught fire. The fire department extinguished the fire and stated that there was a wire shortage in the rear passenger side light. A police/fire report was filed and there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 999.
