First of all, I was still experiencing the loss of FM presets (it was OK for awhile, but the problem re-occurred about 2 - 3 weeks before the dealer visit.) I also have been experiencing difficulties connecting to Pandora (which I use approximately 75% of the time). The infotainment screen says Pandora Loading; sometimes it plays with this message, and other times it will time out, and I have to pull off the road to restart Pandora. l also have the intermittent 20 to 30 second (no audio) delay, which I reported at 2,500 miles.

The dealer found an update to the software and installed it.

The problems re-surfaced within 2 days of the dealer visit, with the addition of a "network not available" message, which stayed on the infotainment screen, while the info screen (at top of dashboard) displayed what Pandora was actually playing, while it was playing.

Bottom line: problem not fixed.

Radio loses presets. Apple play sometimes won’t connect. Sometimes Google maps continues working on phone but screen seems to disconnect. Sometimes radio is dead, with a blank screen. Touch screen doesn’t respond when touching commands.

Update from Oct 25, 2021: After my third visit, the dealer called and let me know they would replace the radio, even though car had gone out of warranty.

Very happy, now system works.

I bought this car new, in March 2019. It lost all my FM presets shortly after entering them, so I tried to set up a driver profile. That didn't help, as only a day or 2 later the FM presets were all gone again. Ironically, the XM presets don't seem to be affected. My "free" XM trial period is almost over, so I made an appt with my local dealer. They didn't admit to knowing about the issue, and said there was no "recall" for this complaint. When I reminded them that a "recall" is only issued for a safety defect, they just said it's the same thing, but they weren't aware of any fix. They made an appt for me next week none the less. We'll see how that goes. My facebook Crosstrek user group has been aware of the issue for months, and some users claim that a software reflash will fix the issue, and others said that the entire "head" unit had to be replaced. Either way, I don't care what they do, it's annoying to have to reset my FM radio presets every week. I will get it fixed.
