This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Subaru dealer.
I purchased the vehicle on 1/27/19. I waited until the 2,500 mile tech check to notify the dealer. The problem is that I have no audio for approximately 30 seconds. This occurred intermittently. I also lost the FM presets. After resetting the FM presets, they would go away after a period of 2- 3 days.
The dealer could not duplicate the problem, and stated that I have the latest update; no repair was done.

Brand new 2019 Crosstrek. Turned on car this morning, Starlink screen blank. No radio or audio function at all. I synced my iphone to the car at purchase, but it never saved any of my apps, contacts, etc. Only thing was my itunes and podcasts would play thru speakers. Took 3-5 phone calls thru the Starlink. Backup camera worked just fine. Then, this morning, Starlink just completely stops functioning. I called the dealer and they said "swing by tomorrow morning and we'll take a look". I googled Starlink complaints and found that Subaru has been aware of this Starlink problems for a couple years, and a class action lawsuit has had to be filed to get them to fix it. SH*T!

THIRD visit to the dealer, with the same problems.
The "Network not available" or "Pandora loading" message comes on while Pandora plays, and the selection being played is listed on the info screen. Another added feature of this situation is that I have to pull the car off the road to (1) restart Pandora, or (2) change the station. The FM presets had to be reset 3 times since I last visited the dealer.
I took pictures of "Network not available" and "Pandora loading", along with what was actually being played, along with the time (start and end of trip to show duration) and showed them to the service rep. The dealer response: No problems found and all systems checked out OK. Software up to date. (There seems to be a pattern here.)
I lost the FM presets the next morning.
In December, my phone was lost. I replaced it with a new phone (Samsung Galaxy 10 replacing Galaxy 8), and paired it with the system. The re-programmed FM presets went away after 2 days. I no longer have the "Network not available" message, but I now have a "no audio" message that stays on the info screen for approximately 30 seconds (with every car restart - it reminds me of the tube radios they had in the 50's), in addition to the "Pandora loading" message and all the fun that brings. This tells me that the phone is not the problem here, it's the Starlink system has the problems.
The system in my 2015 Impreza performed MUCH better.
