The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the rear cross member failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 190,000.

While driving in city limits consumer heard a noise. As some time passed the noise became louder. Within two years the right rear wheel bearing was replaced twice. Several miles later, the left rear wheel bearing was replaced twice. Currently, noise recurred again with owner not sure which rear wheel bearing has failed.
