Forester XS L.L. Bean Edition 2.5L 4 cyl

In addition to summer tires in the snow, the failure of the strut caused the back end to slide out during right hand cornering., it made a loud, rough knocking sound over bumps. Almost put it in a ditch several times. $900 fix.
