While driving in heavy traffic the check engine light suddenly came on and the car stopped accelerating. I had to work my way to the right 2 lanes to get to the side of the road. The cruise light was also flashing even though there was no cruise in use at the time. Everyone was irritated with me and was honking because the car just stopped going. When I got into a parking lot I stopped and turned the car off. This should be a recall since it could have been very dangerous to have the car suddenly stop. I took it to the Subaru dealer and they put the scope on the car and said it was an accelerator sensor. They reset it and let me keep driving since they could not fix it at that time. It happened again a week later while I was going up a steep hill.
