Forester Boxer

Look at past posts (2 of them, Maury S, Tyler, TX). At 21,000 miles and a recent re-manufactured transmission (under warranty), the problem of lurching still exists.

Forester Premium 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 35,000 miles

When driving on a semi-slick road, the shifts from one wheel to another so quickly, the car goes into a fishtail. The driver cannot go past 40MPH while other vehicles, double-trailer gravel haulers, semi-truck, and autos pulling 20-foot trailers with snowmobile stickers all over the rear are passing at 60MPH plus with no loss of control. When traffic cleared, I used the brake and stopped without a problem (ABS does not engage). When accelerating, the slippery indicator does NOT appear. When approaching 45 MPH, the vehicle actually motions to the right or left requiring hard steering to stay in the lane. Others have the same problem. This out-of-control is a danger to life since I do not know when my SUBARU decides to cause this an place my life in danger! Looking for a good attorney. Please help.

traction control malfunction-sensation of car floating once

2015 Subaru Forester started having issues after taking it to the dealer for service and new tires. Noticed the problem while driving on a straight section of road that was covered with black ice. Started to feel a sensation of floating similar to driving in a boat over a wake of another boat. On other occasions the vehicle felt like it was twitching (or jiggiling like jello, for lack of a better term). On several occasions, I had to steer in the opposite direction to keep the car moving straight down the road. On ice this was quite a handfull and very scary. It seemed to get worse unless I slowed down a lot. No, it is not grooves in the roadway. No I was not driving too fast. One one occasion there were 3 other people in the car and could not believe what they were seeing and feeling. This is a major safety issue. After the first time this happened, I took the car back to the dealer and demanded the do SOMETHING. They checked the alignment and said it was out a little bit and said that we must have hit something to get the alignment out! NO! Never did! Sure fire way to get me fired up is to falsely accuse me of something. So they aligned again, it was a little better, but still NOT RIGHT! Goining to attempt to get it fixed AGAIN. If they dont make it right, I will never buy another dangerous SUBARU again. This is obviously a problem at SUBARU as I have been reading other blogs of folks that have had this same issue and SUBARU is not addressing it. Sounds like a law suit in the works, to me. If someone is seriously injured or worse, this will be big!
