The car can't make it between oil changes without needing a quart of oil. The last time the oil light came on we were in a remote area and had to search for "acceptable" oil. A real pain. Going to have to start carrying oil in the car and checking the oil level when filling up. We had the oil consumption test done and Subaru stated it didn't consume enough oil. Thankfully we bought the 100K mile warranty (never did before but I didn't trust the CVT). I suspect by the time we get closer to 100K it'll be consuming enough to get a new engine.

Since they didn't care about fixing the issue or even acknowledging it was an issue, this is the last Subaru I'll buy. Years ago I bought a Honda accord. I had problems with it soon after purchasing. Honda wanted the vehicle because their engineers wanted to get as much information as possible. They gave me a new car as a loaner for around a month until they figured out what was wrong. Honda replaced the engine and I felt like they treated me properly. Subaru doesn't even think this a problem.
