? #SubaruForesterFire ? It nearly killed my whole family.
This happened to my family. I was driving with my mom and child when the car suddenly caught fire under the hood. It was a Subaru — a brand we trusted for safety. The quality turned out to be dangerous, and the after-sales service? Nonexistent.
We almost lost our lives, just because we believed in the so-called 'safety and reliability' of Subaru.
I bought this 2019 Subaru Forester in China. On August 23, 2024, while driving normally, the car suddenly caught fire under the hood. The fire spread rapidly, and the entire vehicle was destroyed. It nearly caused serious injury to my whole family.
After the incident, I submitted all evidence including the fire response report, full maintenance records, and official scrapping certificate. But Subaru China refused to accept any responsibility for a potential quality defect, claiming: “The vehicle is already destroyed and the cause cannot be determined.”
What’s worse — Subaru China never investigated the incident at all. Their after-sales service was evasive, irresponsible, and disappointing. Think about the flowery promises they make before the sale, and the complete indifference after something goes wrong.
? I officially state:
- The vehicle had no modifications;
- All maintenance was performed by authorized Subaru service centers;
- The vehicle was functioning normally before the fire.
? There have already been similar fire incidents involving the same or similar Subaru Forester models in both China and other countries. This is clearly not an isolated case.
? I have submitted a formal written complaint with all evidence to Subaru’s Japan headquarters. If they fail to respond or compensate, I will pursue legal action to protect my consumer rights.
Can a global brand really treat human life this casually?
?? To all Forester owners: please check your vehicle's electrical and fuel systems. If you've had a similar experience, DM me — we may unite for action.
This message is to warn consumers about Subaru's quality risks and irresponsible customer service. Be careful. If you're planning to buy a Subaru, think twice.
Don’t wait until you become the next one trapped in flames.
