chipped windshield immediately

A stone hit original windshield and made an impact crater, which started a long crack before we could get it repaired - no complaint. But the replacement windshield cracked for no apparent reason, starting at the blackened area at bottom, just like the class action lawsuit description! Are they selling and installing defective windshields via replacement companies, such as Clearview??? Sure seems like it. And where is consumer protection agency or our other esteemed federal bureaucratic, uhhum, experts???

Rock chips happen all the time. But I noticed many other Subaru owners complaining of numerous (excessive) chips and cracks in their windshields, and I'm suspecting a problem with the product.
