The contact owns a 2007 Subaru Impreza. When the contact activated the defroster, the windshield cracked. The dealer stated that they would not replace the windshield for free. The contact will have the windshield replaced elsewhere. She feels that the failure was due to a manufacturer defect. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 75,000 and current mileage was 75,700.
