The contact owns a 2014 Subaru Impreza. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle's hood independently opened without warning. The vehicle was towed to the body shop, but was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure as listed in NHTSA campaign number: 16V060000 (structure, latches/locks/linkages), but the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.
