Impreza Sport 2L Boxer

When I blip the throttle to down shift or even a strong acceleration, there is a single CLACK noise. It sounds like piston slap... but just one? It's at the dealer now and they said it's just the o-ring on the dipstick. I'm not sure who the dipstick is but it's very annoying.
