This was the mini bulbs again. This is very time consuming and would be very expensive if we had to take it two hours to a dealer every time plus miss work, etc..... Frustrating!!!!

We purchased this vehicle used, one owner, in May 2013. We have constantly had to to replace front light bulbs. We live about 2 hrs from Subaru dealer and so the replacement lights have been purchased from a local retail store and my husband replaces the bulbs. The bulbs are very hard to get to and you have to take out the black plastic and is then very hard to reach up into the area where the bulbs are to replace them. It is very time consuming and consistently since we have owned the car we have had to replace headlights about every 6 to 9 months, sometimes it will be a mini bulb, but something always goes out. We purchased one replacement headlight on 11/27/13 and before my husband had an opportunity to install it the other headlight went out on 12/13/13. I had to drive home in the dark and just thank God I made it home without an accident. I am not sure why the bulbs go out all the time, but I do not believe it is the bulbs themselves, it is something wrong with the car. None of our other vehicles ever have to have the lights replaced often, if at all. I think Subaru should fix this problem before someone is fatally injured.

headlight low beam burnout. so far 3 times each side

This was the start of events to come. Since initial burnout, I have had to replace low beam bulbs on both sides, 3 times apiece. I am becoming fairly proficient at changing the bulb, concerning their difficult positioning.

July '13, 49,900mi, 3 weeks later, right side. 12 May '14, 63,397mi, left side, 21 Aug '14, 68,173mi, pax side;

8 May'15, 80408mi, left side; 24 July '15, 83725mi, pax; 13 Oct '15, 87,077mi, left side...

I have a better lighting system in my Triumph (Lucas Elex) and I've never had a build failure in any fixture in that car...!!

The dealer says nothing...
