This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Subaru dealer.
I purchased this brand new Legacy end of 2014 and my wife noticed that there was a really loud noise when I drove around 40 miles. The noise sounded like vibration from the passenger side air vent, so I turned all AC off, the noise still there. We decided to report to the dealer and they said the problem was quite common. They ordered new parts and replaced it. The noise was gone, problem solved.
However, after the window seal was replaced, now comes new problem! The window cannot open from driver side switch. It was hot to death, and the window was not opened. Complained to the dealer and the service guy checked and he said nothing wrong. Showed him that it can not be opened, finally he agreed the switch might have been bad. He said he was going to order new part. He said the part should arrive in few days. Waited for two weeks, still have not heard from him. started the third week, it works by itself and now I can open the window.
Probably when the seal was too new, it sucks up the glass! NO more problem with window. However, there still some other problems like engine noise and MPG Half tank only goes for 100 miles. Will report issue separately.

Excessive wind noise coming from driver and passenger front side windows. Had dealer install side wind deflectors (Subaru accessory) and salesman told me noise coming from those. Believed him until I started reading on-line how others have had same wind noise issue and I don't see where they installed the wind deflectors. Will be talking to my Subaru dealer!

This is quite annoying. But, I have noticed if you let your window down slightly, the noise almost go's away. Seems like the windows are set to go up just a little to high. We have not asked the dealer about it yet. Next oil change, we are going to see if there is a fix. Other than this, my wife loves this car.

The parts came out finally to fix the noise issue. My noise issue is on both sides. Had the new parts installed and the wind noise is worse on the drivers side, the passenger side you can hear a whistling noise. Super annoying especially if your driving on a trip. I called corporate and they said they would get back to me.
I love this car and did not notice the noise until I got on the freeway, I hear the Outback is having the same issues as the Legacy. My friends Toyota Corolla sounds so quiet when driving on the freeway. Very disappointed and annoyed. So all in all, the parts they came out with did not fix the wind noise on my new Legacy :(

Not happy. Very annoying noise from the front right side. Dealership said known problem. Waiting for Japan's fix.

Ditto the Richmond, VA complaint. I just bought the car on Oct 9 and noticed the noise a few days later. I asked my salesperson and the parts department about it and they said it is a common complaint. This is just days after I signed the check and when I was told the car has had no issues and is perfect. I followed up again this week and was told I have to wait to see if Subaru issues a fix. So, in other words, no fix. I will pursue this with Subaru.

The Richmond Hill Subaru dealership knew about the problem (their GM claims he has the 2015 Outback with the same wind noise problem), but the service department claims there is no fix bulletin issued by Subaru and hence nothing they can do. My salesperson has been hiding from me (instead of responding to my email almost instantly before I took the delivery - before I paid, now he behaves like his email account has been deleted!). Considering buying a new Subaru, THINK TWICE!!!

So I have the new 2015 Legacy Premium and I am having some very annoying wind noise coming from the drivers side, from near the "triangular" small window. I have not reported it to the dealer yet because I have had several other "issues" as well.
The main gripe now is I have had issues with the fuel door not opening after pulling the lever. I have had it in the shop three times, the latest being today. The first attempt at fixing was them sawing off I think 1mm from the small pin. A few weeks later I noticed it again not working properly and I made appointment and they said they fixed it. The next day it was not working. Took it back to the shop and I will be picking it up tomorrow. Hopefully they got it right this time.
I have had to have the carpet from the back seat to the trunk replaced about a few months after purchasing the car. The carpet was not laid properly and there was a huge "bubble" in the carpet near the back seat and in the trunk the carpet was not all the way attached with the "snaps" and it was just ugly looking. They fixed that pretty fast and looks good now.
So those have been the issues I have had since owning the car from Dec.2015 - present day.
Thanks for listening!
