As the steering wheel is turned (to either side) there is a noise coming from what sounds like the steering wheel itself. It sounds almost like multiple air bubbles are trapped inside. It is a very faint sound, but is definitely audible and annoying. The volume of the noise is directly linked to the speed at which the steering wheel is turned, and also tends to be louder at the beginning of a turn then lessen in volume toward the end of a turn.
Problem started roughly at the beginning of April '16, and has persisted until now 05/10/16.

A few months ago I noticed that steering wheel creaks a little bit under steering. It seems it creaks louder in hot weather. I took my car to Subaru dealership. I was told that steering wheel functions properly, no problems were detected, and they could not find a reason why it creaks. Well, I still consider that abnormal. Never heard such noise in any car.
