The windshield of my 2015 Subaru Legacy suffers far more from flying pebble damage when driving than the windshield of my 1998 Subaru Legacy. The first time this happened was the first week I owned the car. The pit had small cracks around it and had to be repaired with the standard plastic sealant that is used for this kind of damage.

New, smaller pits have appeared since that I largely ignored because no cracks were involved. The dealer reported this additional windshield pitting during my last service appointment. The glass on the windshield of this car is more fragile than in past cars I have owned.
