This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Subaru dealer.
My brand new Subaru, 10 months old, had electrical issues. It was discovered that there was extensive rodent damage ($3600) which caused me to have to make an accident report because the damage was over $2500. I feel this definitely lowered the resale value of my car.

On March 09, 2018 I took it back to the dealer because of issues with passenger power window not opening. This isn't mentioned on the work report, but the tech said it was a computer program, although there was evidence of further rodent activity but no damage.
Seems like this car is very susceptible to rodent damage, even though we keep it garaged and have no rodents in our house or garage.
