My catalytic convertors were replaced under warranty in 2006. The check engine light came on and Subaru replaced the catalytic convertor, and an 02 sensor. If I had driven over 158k I would be paying.
Update from Aug 24, 2012: Why do the catalytic convertors need to be replaced again? Luckily I have another car to drive or I would have been over the extended mileage from the first replacement in 06.

$4,000 and the following expensive repairs and the check engine light is still coming on and staying on. ECM, two sets of wheel bearings, new axles, new brakes and this is spread between two Subaru dealers. An independent shop caught a low read on the low side of the converter that points to a failure, but since the Subaru dealers can't seem to find that reading they refuse to replace converter on the 05. This car belongs to a young soldier serving in the middle east and it is now into the third month with this car and his wife is borrowing cars to get to work. Dealers have accused us of lying about car when the light goes out and then comes back on after driving the vehicle over 100 miles.
