I have owned Subarus since 1978 and have driven over 100,000,000 KM in my Subaru-es. Of the SIX I have owned only two have had the same problem with the drive. My 1995 5 speed manual(430,000 KM)legacy wagon and my 2005 automatic (162,000 KM) Outback wagon. Both cars were fine for years; But since the TWITCHY steering started I no longer feel safe to drive them when the road conditions are icy.This pulling from left to right continually when the road is icy is something new. There is definitely something wrong. The AWD seems to be confused as to which tire to apply traction and for how long. The AWD seems to over compensate causing the driver to correct back and forth. Scary as HELL. I wondered if it was is viscous coupling, just a guess. Subaru needs to get on top of this before somebody gets hurt and the sj.. hits the fan. With all the problems of other manufacturers I hope they are on top of this. There is a lot of comments by people who would like to blame this on driver error, poor tires or something else. It is obvious to me that they have not had this experience and by making these bad guess they just under mine the integrity of others and allows anybody that might help discount the owners complaints.
