problem #2

Dec 042015

Outback LL Bean H6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Had a very weird vibration at the bottom of the gears when shifting. Turned out to be the front axles (tried rear axle -- carrier bearing, checked motor mounts, etc, swapped all four tires and rims with 2 different Subaru's). Replaced with aftermarket axles, same exact vibration. Got OEM axles from Napa (only place I could find them locally) and it fixed the vibration.

Took car in for an oil change and tech noticed a leak from r/f axle boot. Charged 103.00 for labor.
