Headgasket got blown for second time at 300,000 km. On top of that, some electrical issue appeared on solenoid A in the transmission. Authorized Czech republic service Mija Subaru charged me over 2000 USD for the fix of head gasket, and they charged me even oil they did not put in - and only because I carefully checked the 2 page long invoice, I got the money for oil back. The service took 4 months!!! They did not even offer me a spare car!!! I did 5km and the car was leaking oil everywhere, also from underneath the head gasket.
They re-sealed in the authorized service, and there was oil steam coming out from the engine - risk of fire! I brought the car back and they "fixed it again". It took another 2 months!! Now, I have misfire on cylinder one, fuel consumption at 15 litres and car is not operational at all!! The service tells me a complete nonsense, that the misfire is caused by the faulty solenoid.
BTW, Subaru is so stupid, you cannot buy the solenoid for 50 USD, but you have to change the whole brain for 2000 USD!!! Even a Kia or Mercedes can deliver solenoids separately, but Subaru cannot - what a waste of material and people's money!!! On top of that, the services are mega arrogant when you even ask about that. So the amazing service screwed up my engine and now wants another 2000 USD to screw up my transmission which is causing according to them a cylinder misfire. It is probably a vent outlet setting, but to fix it, you need to heat the engine and then take engine out again - it is not possible to fix anything on the car!!!
Stay away from Subarus. These cars are design defects with extremely poor and unprofessional services who are just trying to rob you.
