It all started with loss of power and jerky acceleration. Then engine lights came on. Brought it to dealership - they said catalytic converter gone bad. Good news - it was covered by extended warranty. No answer why it gone bad. The catalytic converters are designed to last a lifetime of a vehicle, but mechanics at deanship just replaced it with no further diagnostics done.
I am not convinced that for no reason the catalytic converter can go bad. Moreover, I think it was a consequence of some other problems with engine (misfiring!!! oil getting into exhaust!!! or else).
