I'm quite frustrated that a brand new car (as well as the 2017 Subaru outback I borrowed for a week) both have a malfunction of the gas gauge.

Went on a road trip and camping, saw fuel gauge at 1/2 at night, in am started up, gauge went to full, I know the fuel fairy did not come to fill tank. I took to dealer 6 days out, called and said mfg. aware, supposedly a computer algorithm problem with no current fix! I am to count miles and fill up every 1/2 tank before running out of gas, until such fix, - this is bull for a new car! I will wait a little while, then unleash it....
Update from Jan 18, 2018: After a bit, Subaru confirmed thru dealer a problem. They sent a new programming "cluster' redo to the dealer to reset/reinstall something and seems to work god, for now! - The also offered a free comp accessory for my long trouble. The dealer went to bat for me also!!

In a nut shell , The fuel gauge goes back and forth from full to 3/4 with between 30 and 55 miles on it.
